I am very mindful in building a life that inspires me. I’d love to empower you to do the same! And by that, I mean actually enjoying your life and being fulfilled in all areas. Not just working to get by and living an ordinary life that feels dull and uninspiring.
As individuals, we all crave different things and have our own dreams, goals and desires. I want to help you find your sparkle so you can shine and live your best life.
As a holistic lifestyle coach I help my clients live with more ease, grace and flow, to be intuitive to their bodies and souls desires. Sometimes that’s learning to say yes to things that make you feel good and identifying the things that make you feel not-so-good - and feeling confident enough to say no.
I’ve come up with five tips to help you work on living a life which inspires you. These are all steps you can take on your own, although I hope you have someone who you can share this journey with - life is always richer when shared.
" Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumblebee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams."
- ASHLEY SMITH
1. Be inspired and live with passion.
What is it that ignites your soul? What could you talk about for hours end? What would you be doing more of if money wasn’t a problem? Within in these answers lie your natural interests and passions in life.
For me, travelling definitely fuels my passions in life. Backpacking allows me complete freedom to feel present and soak up the special moments and memories which make up life. I think about travelling constantly - where I’ve been and where I plan to go next, how those experiences have shaped me. To feel that passion about something should never be given up, right?
Identify what inspires you; focus on what you are passionate about. I bet there is a way you can incorporate these into your daily life. I encourage you to say yes to your dreams and passions, figuring out the ‘how’ along the way. If it’s important to you then you’ll find a path forward; you will be grateful for the lessons along the way.
2. Take a break and recharge.
Relax and rejuvenate (without feeling guilty) because you deserve it. Make this a priority. Burn-outs are becoming so common in our harried, over-connected lifestyles.
Give yourself permission to sleep in, wake up slowly, go for a slow stroll along the beach to dip your toes in the water. Make yourself your favourite breakfast, savour every single bite and mindfully taste each flavour.
Ask yourself - what feels good? And go do it.
As humans, connection is so important to us. Physical contact with those we love the most is a joy in itself. Take the time to hug, kiss and embrace life with those special people.
We also need to connect with our soul’s purpose and do the things that bring us joy. For me, this is cooking without limits or being bound to time, exploring local produce markets, moving my body through exercise and yoga… just to name a few! Think back to what you wrote down which inspires you or fills you with passion - are these things that could help you connect?
4. Be present and raise your vibration.
Being fully present teaches us to stop and enjoy each moment in life. Just pause, let go, take a deep breath and soak it all in. The sights, sounds, flavours and feelings that embody us right now. Enjoy the beautiful sunset, the sand between your toes, the warm sun on your face, savour the flavours of your favourite meal, that embracing long hug, the kisses from your loved one, the soulful exchanges and special memories – stop and soak it all up every last drop.
Becoming present and enjoying life and everything it has to offer has absolutely changed my life, increased my productivity, helped me to become more creative and absolutely increased my overall health and happiness.
It also raises your vibration - remember like attracts like! When we feel good, more good things will appear in our life.
5. Embrace uncertainty.
Think about it - if you knew exactly when everything would happen, life might get a bit boring! We need variety to spice up life, to keep us on our toes. So take risks, don’t just stick with what you know.
Travelling as taught me to live outside my comfort zone - I talk more about this when I spoke on the Wanderlusters Mind Podcast. You can check it out here.
So embrace the anticipation and butterflies in your stomach. Change, opportunities and possibilities are exciting.
Remember, fear is jut excitement without the breath!
Put it all into action.
